What is a Search?
A Search is one lookup of a phone number, email address or name. Your membership includes a set number of Searches: 3 in the intro week, then 15 each month, or 45 with the 3-month plan. A Search is a usage allowance, not money: it has no cash value.
What happens if you can't find anyone?
If we can't confidently identify anyone, or a data source is down, the Search goes back to your balance automatically. With a name search, the Search is only used once you pick a person from the list.
Where does the information come from?
Public web pages, public profiles, carrier lookups and a licensed public-information provider. Every item in a report says which source it came from. The full list is on our Data sources page.
How does Photo check work?
Upload a photo you have the right to use, like a profile picture someone sent you. We look for public web pages where that photo, or photos that look similar, appear, and show each possible match with its link and a High, Medium or Low similarity label. A visual match is never proof that it's the same person. Your photo is deleted right after the check, and always within 1 day. Photo check isn't available in Illinois, Texas, Washington or Colorado.
Is this a background check?
No. SearchAnyone is not a consumer reporting agency, and its reports can't be used for employment, tenant, credit or insurance decisions. It's for personal, informational use, like checking who's behind an unknown number.
How do I cancel, and can I get a refund?
Cancel anytime from your account or the link in your receipt; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for. You can get a full refund of any charge, for any reason, within 14 days.
Can people remove their information?
Yes. Anyone can block their phone number, email address, or name and state from SearchAnyone results, free and without an account, on our Remove my information page.
